The new Q-Bus network

Since August 5, 2024, the World Heritage city of Quedlinburg has had a new city bus network. It is more understandable and attractive – not only for locals but also for tourists. This is ensured by four new Q-bus lines that connect the city area to the train station.

Digital real-time information at bus stops

Every sixth bus stop in the Harz district will soon have digital displays, allowing passengers to get real-time information about the next departures, construction work, and schedule changes. This will make public transport in the Harz district more digital and accessible, enabling many people to participate more fully in society.

New digital student tickets in credit card format

Paper tickets are a thing of the past! As of September 1, 2024, the Harz district has issued around 6,200 new digital student tickets in credit card format. Eligible students can use these to access public transport, not only within the Harz region but nationwide, as they are valid as Germany tickets.

When the public transport taxi arrives

It still sounds like something from the future, but by 2025, it should also come to the Harz district: the public transport taxi (ÖPNV-Taxi), which passengers will be able to book via an app. Preparations are currently underway as part of the "harzbewegt" model project.
