The new student tickets in green and blue
Since 1 September 2024, eligible pupils in the Harz district have had a new school ticket that allows them to use local transport not only in the Harz region, but throughout Germany. This is because the approximately 6,200 cards in credit card format that were delivered to schools at the end of August are Deutschlandtickets.
With their bright harzbewegt design, the cards are sure to stand out. In addition to the personal details of the respective pupil and a passport photo, there is also a barcode and integrated RFID chip on the front, which is scanned when boarding the bus.
If more Deutschlandtickets need to be printed in the near future, the school administration of the Harz district can even do this itself: The ticket blanks can be encoded, personalised and printed using a special printer.
